Itinerary
Day 1: Sapa – Thon Tha Village
Our tour will begin in Sapa, where we will depart at 8 am from Trekking Tour Sapa. You can choose to travel by car or motorbike. If you choose to travel by motorbike, you will first take a local bus from Sapa to Ha Giang, and then the tour will start from there.
Once we reach Thon Tha village, we will check in at a Homestay. This beautiful village is set in a stunning landscape and is populated by the Tay ethnic group.
We will take a short tour around the village, where you will see the traditional style of houses and buildings, dried palm tree roofs, and wooden structures. You will also get to see the corn and rice fields that are a part of the landscape.
Day 2: Thon Tha Village – Quan Ba – Lung Khuy Cave – Nam Dam Village – Lung Tam Village
We will start our day with breakfast at the homestay and then depart at 8 am. Our first stop will be Quan Ba’s Heaven Gate, where we will enjoy the stunning view of Fairy Mountain.
We will then move on to Lung Khuy village and take a short walk up the mountain to the famous Lung Khuy Cave. This cave has a stunning collection of stalactites and stalagmites, and you will be able to walk through it on a guided rail walkway.
Afterward, we will drive to Nam Dam village, where we will have lunch at Ly Quoc Thang Homestay. Here you can walk around at your own pace and explore the lifestyle of the Dao ethnic minority.
Next, we will visit the Hmong village of Lung Tam, where you will see the villagers working on their traditional handicrafts, such as weaving hemp into clothes and fabrics.
We will then return to Ly Quoc Thang Homestay in Nam Dam, where we will spend the rest of the evening before dinner with the family.
Day 3: Nam Dam Village – Lao Va Chai Village – Yen Minh Town – Pho Cao Area – Pho Bang Village – Vuong House – Pao’s House – Dong Van Town
We will start the day with breakfast with the family before leaving at 8 am. Our first stop is Yen Minh Town, which is only a 35 km (1.5 hours) drive away. From the Đài Quan Sát Yên Minh outlook point, you can enjoy a stunning view after a short 10-minute walk.
Next, we will drive for 27 km (55 minutes) to the breathtaking mountain range area of Pho Cao. We will take a stop at the Dốc Chín Khoanh outlook point for photos.
Our next destination is Pho Bang Village, just an 8 km (20-minute) drive away, where you can meet the Hoa ethnic group. The villagers are known for their traditional clothing, which they make themselves.
Afterward, we will drive for 5 km (15 minutes) to Pao’s house in Sung La village, where the famous Vietnamese movie Pao’s Story (2006) was filmed. Here we will have lunch and explore the village and its surroundings.
Our next stop is Dinh Vua Meò, the Hmong Palace in Sà Phìn, just 10 km (20 minutes) away. This was the former residence of the Hmong king, built in the mid-1800s. We will spend about an hour visiting the palace, and if time permits, we can go for a short stroll to view the Dong Van Plateau.
Finally, we will drive to Dong Van town and check in at a hostel. After some time to relax, we will head out for a typical dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Dong Van Town – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Lo Lo Chai Village – Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac Town
We will have breakfast and depart at 8 am. Our first destination is Lung Cu Flag Tower, a 30-meter tower in the high mountains of northern Vietnam at an altitude of 1,400 m. The tower is an iconic Vietnam national landmark, and from the top, you can see the Chinese mountains and surrounding rice, corn, and hemp fields.
We will then drive to a nearby Lo Lo Chai village, a very small ethnic group, where we will walk around and admire the special traditional clothing of these people.
After lunch, we will drive for 37 km (1.5 hours) to the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass, where we will look out over the canyon beautifully carved out by the Nho Que River.
We will also offer you the chance to trek along the side of one of the mountains of Ma Pi Leng. The walk will take about 2-3 hours, offering you the best views of this area. At the end of the path, our driver will pick us up.
Finally, we will drive for 11 km (30 minutes) to Meo Vac town, where we will stay for the night at Binh Yen’s Homestay. Here you will have time to relax before enjoying dinner with the family.
Day 5: Meo Vac Town – Du Gia – Ha Giang
On the fifth day of our journey, we’ll start our day with a scrumptious breakfast before departing at 8 am. Our first stop will be the Tay village of Du Gia, which is approximately 75km away and takes around 3 hours to reach by car. Here, we’ll indulge in a delectable lunch and take some time to explore the village.
Next, we’ll head to the stunning Du Gia waterfall, which is just a 40-minute walk away. If weather permits, you can take a refreshing dip in the pool below the waterfall. We’ll spend around 30 minutes to an hour here, depending on everyone’s preferences.
After soaking up the natural beauty of Du Gia, we’ll hit the road again and drive approximately 80km to reach Ha Giang City. Once we arrive, we’ll drop you off at our office so you can freshen up and rest. At 7:30 pm, a sleeping bus will pick you up from our office, and you’ll arrive in Hanoi at around 4 am.
This marks the end of our exciting journey together.

How much Luggage should I take?

- Due to limited vehicle space and the nature of accommodation, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 10kg in a backpack or overnight bag.
Can I drive on my own?
YES. but just on the easy road, you can ask Easy Rider to let you try.
Where do we meet?
- We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7:30 Pm by car or limousine and then transfer you to the bus station (My Dinh)
- From Sapa to Ha Giang: if you are in Sapa, please come to 025 Thac Bac Str at 7:00PM, our driver will pick you up there.
How fit do I have to be?
