An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Medicine Referral Clinician to join our team here at Abington Park Vets, Moulton!
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide clients with a high standard of customer care and service.
- Take on external and internal referral cases.
- Positively communicate to all clients on progress, results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options and cost involved all the time.
- Record all patient information, treatment, diagnostic reports, and charges into PMS.
- Hospitalise or discharge patients as appropriate with the correct medicines and instructions for owner or hospital staff.
- Understand and comply with your legal obligations in relation to prescription safe keeping and supply of Veterinary medicinal products.
- Provide the referring vet with a full, written report.
- Present a professional approach and smart appearance, ensure an effective consultation process for all patients.
- Maintain personal CPD as per RCVS guidelines.
- Working 40 hours
- No weekends
- No out of hours
- Salary of up to £75,000 depending on experience

The majority of the Vets and Nurses have post-graduate qualifications in various disciplines. Many of them have 5 to 15 years’ service with the group.
Certificate in internal medicine is essential. Advanced practitioner, interest in oncology or imaging is desirable. Previous experience in a referral environment and caseload is also desirable, but not essential.
